PENDING LEGISLATION
Employers should also be paying attention to a bill working its way through Congress that includes, among other provisions, some relief for employees who are required to be off work for extended periods of time due to the virus. That bill has currently passed the House of Representatives and will be in front of the Senate in the next few days. You can read the current version of the bill and track it's progress here -
SBA DISASTER RELIEF ASSISTANCE
In addition to the relief for employees, the SBA may have funds available for disaster relief assistance for small businesses that are impacted by the COVID-19 virus. More information on that program can be found in their press release below -
